Axel’s Essential Housing Program

Axel’s Essential Housing Program

Live at The Axel designer apartments at attainable rents. You may earn more than you think and still qualify.

Attainable living, elevated. The Axel participates in a workforce housing program that reserves apartments at reduced rents for households earning up to 140% of the Area Median Gross Income for Travis County. That means individuals and families earning up to $188,160 per year may qualify, including many of Austin's teachers, nurses, first responders, service industry professionals, and young professionals who keep this city running.

Unlike many income-restricted communities, qualification at The Axel is based on your total household income ,not your household size, making it simple to see where you fit. Two tiers are available, each with its own income ceiling and reduced rent.

Same community, same finishes, same amenities. The only difference is the rent.
